Are children allowed?

Yes, we accommodate all ages. Typically, passengers below the age of 4 board free. Contact us directly before booking so we can make the proper arrangements and ensure they are on the manifest.

Gift Cards and Coupons

How do I use a gift card or discount?

When booking online, enter your gift card or discount code during checkout. Ensure all promotions are mentioned at the time of booking.

Can I use my gift card onboard?

Gift cards cannot be used onboard but are applicable for online bookings.


Cancellation Policy

What is your cancellation and refund policy?

Our cruises are non-refundable without a minimum of 24 hours' notice. For special requests, please contact our team in advance.

What if my cruise gets canceled?

In the event of a cruise cancellation, you have the option to reschedule or request a full refund.

What if I arrive late and miss boarding?

NYC Water Cruises does not offer refunds for missed cruises. Rescheduling is possible with a 48-hour notice.


Weather Concerns

Do cruises sail in rain or snow?

We operate in all weather conditions. In severe conditions, the cruise may stay dockside, but the full dining experience will still be provided.


Parking and Age Limits

Is parking available?

Parking availability varies in the surrounding area near the port. Please plan accordingly.

Age restrictions?

Standard cruises don't have age limits, but minors must be accompanied by an adult. Some cruises may not be suitable for all ages, and cocktail cruises are restricted to individuals aged 21 and above.


Dress Recommendations

Is there a dress code? 

Casual clothes are acceptable. Please consider the weather. For dinner and premier events, cocktail attire is preferred; avoid very casual wear.


Boarding Time

When should I arrive for boarding?

Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to departure. Refer to your confirmation email for specific boarding and departure times.


Smoking Policy

Can I smoke onboard?

Smoking is permitted only on outside decks. Please note that cannabis products are forbidden due to US Coast Guard regulations. Liability is considered for any damage to the vessel.



What kind of entertainment is available onboard?

We offer a variety of musical entertainment, with specific offerings varying by cruise. More details are available online, or you can inquire with our staff before booking.



Is seating pre-assigned onboard?

Our crew will direct you to your designated deck upon boarding. Hosts/hostesses will then guide you to your assigned table if applicable. Seating preferences are not guaranteed for non-private groups.


Special Celebrations

Do you offer extra enhancements for special occasions?

Yes, we have various enhancements available for your dining experience. Consult our staff or check online for details.

Can I bring a cake onboard?

Yes, but the dessert must be properly stored in a sealed container.

Can I decorate for my event?

Small groups can bring table decorations, with certain restrictions such as no confetti or taping on the boat's walls. Please inform us beforehand if we can accommodate your request.


Menu & Food

Where can I find the cruise menu?

Do you offer vegetarian or special menu options?

Vegetarian meals are provided on dining cruises. Please inform us of any dietary requirements upon booking.

Can I bring my own food or drinks?

Outside food is not allowed. Sealed wine or champagne bottles are subject to approval and a corkage fee.



Are pets allowed onboard?

Only service animals as defined by the ADA are allowed onboard.


Safety & Regulations

What's your weapons policy?

Bringing weapons, explosives, illegal substances, or other dangerous items is strictly prohibited.

 Are fireworks guaranteed on special occasions?

No, we cannot ensure fireworks displays unless specified otherwise.

Can the cruise course or vessel change?

Yes, changes can occur due to water conditions. NYC Water Cruises is not liable for such alterations.

Are the vessels regulated?

Yes, our vessels undergo certified inspections by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Are your vessels accessible to the handicapped?

We have wheelchair access to some parts of the deck, but please verify accessibility when booking and ask for further assistance. Some parts of the boat decks may not be considered accessible.

Do you have life vests onboard?

Our vessel is equipped with life-saving equipment, including life vests for adults and children.

Is there a risk of getting seasick?

While most guests do not experience such issues, if you're prone to motion sickness, it's advisable to take precautions.

Cancellation Policy:

  • Customers without an insurance policy must cancel their reservation before 48 hours of the reservation’s boarding time.
  • If the cancellation is made within the cancellation window, the customer will receive a full refund.
  • Exceptions: In the event of extreme weather conditions or emergencies preventing the cruise, customers will be offered a rescheduled trip or full reimbursement regardless of the time remaining until reservation.

    Rescheduling Policy:

    • Customers can reschedule their booking anytime before 48 hours to the reservation start, free of charge, by contacting the company directly via email or phone.
    • Penalty: A fee may apply if the customer cancels with less than 48-hour notice.

          • Refunds are issued if a trip is canceled by the company or if the customer chooses to downgrade their booking within the cancellation window.
          • Refunds typically take 2-5 business days to process and reflect in the original payment method.

            • Participants must meet standard health requirements for water cruise tours.

              Customer Communication:

                  Safety and Conduct

                  • Prohibited items include weapons, explosives, and illegal substances.

                    • The sale and consumption of alcohol are restricted to guests over 21 years of age, in compliance with state and federal laws. Valid ID required.
